Road Work Scheduled

The City has scheduled more street repairs beginning at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday 5/28/13 (weather permitting). Work will likely take place for two to three days. Asphalt will be put down on streets in the following areas:

• Hollis from Church to McClure

• Edwards from Garfield to McClure

• Pleasant from Maple to May

• Lakeview from Rollins to Lake

• Burr from Third to the dead end

• Grove from Commercial to Second

• Boss from Rose to Commercial

• Rice from Sixth to the dead end

If possible, residents should avoid these areas while work is taking place and take caution while driving near the work zone.

Transfer Station Closure Scheduled

The City of Kewanee Transfer Station will be closed for a floor replacement beginning at noon on Friday 6/7/13 and will remain closed until 6/16/13. It will re-open with regular business hours on Monday 6/17/13.
