K9 Patrol

The Kewanee Police Department is also fortunate to have a police narcotics/tracking service dog on its staff. Our Belgian Malinois, Racky, was purchased to assist in the fight against illegal drug use and trafficking. This service animal has also been trained to assist when suspects flee or for helping track the whereabouts of lost children or citizens. K9 Racky’s handler is Officer William Rivord. This team attends monthly trainings to ensure that the best in service is always available.
