Patrol Division

The Patrol Division of the Kewanee Police Department is its “backbone” and most visible division. The citizens and visitors of Kewanee receive quality service from the 18 officers currently assigned to the patrol division. The patrol fleet is comprised of six (6) fully marked patrol units; one (1) fully marked K9 patrol unit; and one (1) unmarked traffic unit. The Patrol staff is normally the first to respond to service and emergency calls.

The Patrol Division also has one (1) officer assigned to public housing. This officer patrols the areas owned by the Housing Authority of Henry County. This officer acts as a community service officer to the residents there. This full-time officer supervises a contingent of six (6) part-time officers and provides around-the-clock coverage.
